Mine didn't slow down at all with my 9", I could leave harder on the 2 step which equated to faster 0-60, faster 1/8 Mile ET and 1/8 mile and faster 1/4 mile

All being equal, it will slow you down. In addition to NVH, and unproven geometry you have to accept with aftermarket kits.
