So I spun a bearing last week, and am going to do a complete rebuild on my motor. Long story short, The plan is to have a friends rebuild shop build the motor.

We will be doing a .30 over bore with all Forged internals.
They had a set of GM Performance heads leftover from a Corvette build that ended up going forced induction so I am getting the heads for free.
They will be doing a custom roller cam setup with titanium springs, forged rods, Rockers, locking retainers, and the whole ordeal.

Now the question is, will I NEED to upgrade my fuel system? IE Injectors, rails, pumps.
Also, will I NEED a tune right away in order to get the motor running with the computer?

Anything else I need other than cash? lol

This will be my first build and I will be working side by side with the shop. So put up with my noobishness for now please :P

Up for sale is a mint condition set of 17 inch rims. These wheels have roughly 4000 miles on them, probably less but rounding up; and the tires only have at most 1000 miles on them. These wheels are in pristine condition with literally no damage at all and have a few coats of Collonite 845 on them, only one of them has a chip by the lug nuts which I assume the dealership did. The tires are BFGoodrich G-Force Sport 245/45ZR17. I am asking for $650 for these wheels since the tires alone are worth $500 plus shipping. I prefer local pick-up for the wheels, but I will work something out if you are interested in shipping. I will not separate the wheels and tires.

According to Guy (LUVMYGTHO) "No wiper arms, thats a common break. Every so often I get asked that.
I will assure you, that it wont change the value of the car.
I asked GMP a while back about it and they said nothing could be done about it, sorry." Either way I was going to ask $275 for this model, but I will list it at $235 shipped.

Sooooo I let my dad borrow the car while I was on a months Vacation, and apparently the motor was leaking oil. It was 3.5 quarts low. I just got back and there is a knock from the bottom end :( Has anyone pulled one of our motors or perhaps done the same work of replacing the bearings? Anything will help :) thanks guys

What you are looking at is a 1979 Jaguar XJ6L

Made when Jaguar was owned by British Leyland, the company that gave Jaguar their reputation for poor reliability due to build quality issues with labor union disputes :)

On the plus side, instead of the craptastic Jaguar inline 6 that came with the car, a Chevy small block V8 and tranny have been swapped in :D So I get the badass look of the Jag with the dependability and inexpensive parts of a Chevy V8.

Am I crazy for doing this? Yes
Will I regret this decision later? Most likely
Does it give me a happy feeling in my pants to see it in the driveway? YES!
