i was out and about trying to get my tune properly done and was heading out to a friends house in the boonies to do some 4th gear pulls.
as im cruising i spot a M6 that was looking SWEET. as i was driving i saw his windows crack and him listening to the GTO. and i got up next to him and saw him looking over so i nodded. then i heard the big V10 down shift. i went to 3rd at 45-50 (should have been in 2nd) and he punched it and i punched it. goat roared to life with that sweet V10 singing next to me. giving him the hit he got a fender on me. at the top of 3rd he was back a fender and with a shift to 4th he was falling back more. then some traffic got in the way and we both got on brakes hard with me up about a car.
he was cool and gave me a thumbs up.
later that night i was at a rowboat meet and the heat was out in force and there was alot of people at the meet.
so we decided to head out early and call it a night. i get a txt from a friend with a procharged Z06 to meet him. i show up and there is his Z06, a TT Z06 a Big turbo supra, a supercharged E46 M3 and 2 other cars going to run in south mexico.
hell i cant miss 2 700ish hp vettes rolling around.
so we were out there watching the festivities and the M3 wanted some of the old rowgoat. down to 45-50mph. 2nd gear this time (not making the mistake of giving them the jump). we go. same result as the M6. i get up about a car - a car and a half. around 120 and shut it down for traffic.
it was fun.
