It will take some time but it can be done. There have been a couple of spin offs before and they got little traction. Difference is this time AF has pissed off a bunch of the faithful. Pretty much the only way you are going to get members here is by pms over there when you see people complaining. They have 10s of thousands of members so we have a big pool to pull from.

The problem will arise that most of us will still be active over there. For this site to take them down we would have to quit it cold turkey. I am not sure if people are ready to do that yet.

I don't think you need to quit cold turkey but be active in both, just less so there. I will most likely be banned from the site but I am prepared for it. As I said anything worth having is worth fighting for. At meets, in PM's we need to spread the word. The ETMC gatherings are great places to discuss the site. I am working with one of my buddies at a local fast signs to see about having window decals made. Will post up the details once I have them.

I joined too, there are still people over at the other site that don't understand our point of view, and I'm tired of repeating why "it is such a big deal." I will still visit that site though, for now, until this one takes off and has the traffic and know how the other site has. I prolly wont post much over there though.

To be fair, the precedent has been set a number of times now. If this site can succeed, more power to you all - but it will take a lot of work and a fair amount of luck.

Hey man thanks for the new site!! I loved (and still do) ls1gto but the changes, advertising, etc. have become too much. I will be a contributor to both sites, however I hope I can help you get this site running and off the ground to best of my abilities!

The focus needs to be about the GTO and their owners. I feel that the other site has clearly lost focus of this fact -- but we all saw it coming. I would like to clearly state that I blame AF and not the mods.

Thanks for puttin uup this site...i was pretty active on the ls1gto site for a long time but with all the stuff going on over there i have slowed down...but since this site has been up i have only been on ls1gto like once or twice... and bryan i agree with you as well
