So, as some of you (some moreso than others, *cough*Alex*cough*) may know, I've moved recently. And, by recently, I mean like five months ago maybe?

Anyway, just thought I'd share some pictures of my little abode. Up until now, noone that has been over (including myself) has really seen the place in a decent, living condition - it's been dog-piled with trash and move-in-progress pileup for months as I'd been too busy or too lazy when I'm free.

Anyway, despite it's small size and lack-of-furniture, I am pretty happy with it - present wishes for yet-more-change aside.

Mostly, though - I need to be thanking the community for all of the help you guys have given me.

Alex has helped me SO MUCH these last few months - I've lost count of the drives he's made from Pearland to help me move **** that wasn't even packed, to paint or to just get stuff cleaned up and organized. Not to mention my hilariously loose interpretation of the term "borrow" when it comes to ladders or small tools...;) I owe you a lot, man - don't you let me forget it.

Dan was a big help as well - he helped move a bit, but he gave me the entertainment center and sold me the washer/dryer after I broke mine and the lawnmower so I could finally try to make my yard halfway presentable.

Jonathan (you might not know him, he doesn't post much - red '06 with 'GTOOOH' plates) helped me clean up/organize the garage after we worked on his car one day. He also ferried me back-and-forth between houses so I could move my cars, that was definitely appreciated.

Rick - thanks for the offer for a fridge. I won't forget that one, even though I slacked off on it - but, hey, a broke hand is a broke hand, y'know? The love was there and I thank you for that.

And the rest of you - the advice, etc I've received has helped immensely. I've rented (and still have some rented) apartments all over the US, but a house was a new one for me. It is nice to know that so many random *******s on the Internet are so full of help and advice - makes me worry less when I wake up to thousands of ants in my kitchen on my way to work in the morning. (Thanks again, Alex ;)).

Anywho, pictures!

I know the lawn isn't much, but Alex (and several others!) can attest to how much of an improvement this is. I just haven't quite gotten into the maintenance swing-of-things.

This is my kitchen - I am most proud of this room and have spent the most money on it (cookware, decorations, etc). A lot of my friends joke at it's homo-overtones, but I like it - SO SHUT UP. :)

Oh, and I mentioned a lack-of-furniture earlier - well, excuse the lack-of-fridge. This will be remedied before the party, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I should have had TWO fridges in there by now - but my stepmother had to sell the one she promised me with her house to meet her asking price and my father gifted his old fridge to my new step-brother before the first fridge fell through, thinking I'd end up with Kelly's. Oh, well - all is well that ends well.

Here, you can see the 'dining room'-turned-sitting-area, it's a favorite of my cats. I like the tan color - it's certainly better than the horrid yellow the room used to be. As for the rest of the living room - well, I *did* have a whole, really nice!, furniture set for it - but then it didn't fit through any of the doors. Even with the door hinges removed, I'd have to knock the door frame out to get them in - not worth it. Since then, I've not gotten around to buying more furniture.

I've been saving for a nice Sony XBR4, but haven't made good on that, either - too many things going on to worry about TV. This has sufficed sofar for some serious 'vintage' gaming fun!

Oh, and as for the green? It goes throughout the rest of the downstairs and partway up the stairway - it's tacky, I know. I am going to paint over it with the same tan as the living room - I just got so sick of painting I gave up for the time being.

I won't bother showing picture of the upstairs, it's got a laundry room and then three bedrooms. My office has a purple wall and the master bedroom is a spotted, awful orange. No bueno. Been too burnt-out to fix that.

BUT! Here is my (currently TRASHED!) garage. My roommate and I built the workbench from stud-worthy 2x4's, it's the strongest thing you've ever seen. The wall-mount computer is nice - I no longer have to ruin my laptop or run inside to look up last-minute problem fixes on the Internets! I'm still missing most (pretty much ALL, really) of my tools, scattered about between my dad's houses and my mom's place in Oklahoma. That fridge doesn't do too well - it's fine, except the un-insulated and un-vented garage gets to nearly 200 degrees during this unbelievably AWFUL summer, which is no bueno for storing foods (or my car :'(). It does, however, chill beer and Coke pretty okay (freezer works GREAT, just in case!) so, it stays.

As you can see, there is trash and old car parts piled up everywhere - this is my next (and ongoing) project. I'm looking at getting some form of lift, probably a mid-rise (like Dak's Quik-Lift) unless I can move elsewhere soon.

I was intending for it to be at the end-of-summer, mid-to-late August. But, I don't think that's happening.

It might just end up being on or around my birthday in late September. I'll let everyone have fair enough warning, no worries.

Oh! I almost forgot the best part! Here are some pictures of my family.

This is my cat Samantha - she's the best. She's kind-of introverted and doesn't like the other two, but she's SUPER sweet. ^_^

And these are the two rascals - Ozma and El Gato Negro. They're hyper and bent on the complete obliteration of all forms of rolled paper. But, they're pretty cool, too.

Nice house, I love front porches. Guess that's the old man in me (no pun intended). And just be careful none of that stuff in your garage hits your car.
