I just ordered a nitrous kit from Nitrous Outlet :)
Figured I'll be having some traction problems at the track with Nitto DRs now. Anyone have some insight for me?
Car: LS1/M6
Mod list:
Kooks LT headers
Corsa Exhaust
3.91 gear
tune
That's pretty much it. I read that Mickey Thompson DRs are considerably better than the Nittos. Would they be enough for a 100/150 shot?
Thanks!

The Mickeys sound like a good start. ;)

There are some guys running 10's (or better) on MT drag radials. With the M6 though, you will hook better and not be as apt to break part if you get a set of 26x11.50 bias ply ET Streets. I assume that we are talking about staying with stock wheels?

^Yes. I have a separate pair of wheels with my DRs on them. I only use them at the track. Usually put them on at my house and drive up there.
The bias ply tires would require me to get another pair for the front, wouldn't they? Honestly, I'd like to avoid the trouble if I can get away with a drag radial.

You will have some issues trying to hook with DR's....sounds like you need some ET's as stated above.

Bias plys are not recommended to be run with radials. However many do it anyways. If you are not trapping 125+ you will probably be ok from what I have heard. You will get a little wobbly at the top end. I will be testing this theory myself in the next couple of months when I put some et streets bias on stock rims and run steet tires up front.

Just like kingsize said Mickey's are some pretty nice DR's

Yea, I've been told that numerous times. Let me know how that goes for you though.
We only have a 1/8 track, so I doubt I'll be trapping 125 :p

Yea, that's what I'm thinking. Looking on their site, the ET Street Radial compound is a little softer than the ET Street bias ply compound. Maybe it'll make up the difference despite radials not wrinkling?

So how are the bias ply at 125mph? :D

You will be fine on a 1/8 track with your setup and the bias tire. If you start to run a bigger track and faster speeds, then you can either run 4 biases or switch to radials
