Those motor mounts that Frank sells are nice. I'm waiting on the trans mount so I can pick up a set and knock both out at once.
I need something to stop this drivetrain from bouncing around so damn much.

IIRC, SCSS makes a trans mount for the GTO. Just throwing it out there.

I had the SCSS one, and while it is a really nice piece, it vibrated the **** out of my car. Is there something like the F-body mounts available?

I got their Poly motor mounts and tranny mount. Installed the motor mounts first, and noticed a slight vibration around 2000rpm but nothing major. Installed the tranny mount and really liked how solid the shifter was, but the vibration was horrible. I took it back out of the car within 48 hours because I just couldn't stand it. I guess they're pretty specific on how they are installed (oriented a specific way, don't over-tighten the cross bolt), and maybe that was it, I don't know. I do know that I got on it really hard one time with the mount installed, shifted to third, and the tranny locked in third and would not come out until I stopped the car and YANKED on the shifter. Something was binding up, and it has never happened before or since the SCSS mount was in the car.
Love the motor mounts though.

SCSS has their tranny mounts on sale right now for for about 25 bucks off and free shipping. I picked one up. They have everything on sale actually. I'll post back up once I get it installed along w/ the poly motor mounts I have.

yeah, I might try one again while they are on sale. I got one of the first batch, and there were no install instructions then...

I can be a perfect test dummy! I don't care about vibration, I don't worry about luxury feeling in my car. I wanna feel it running! I'm actually looking for solid motor/tranny mounts or Poly mounts.

Hey, Mike,
Auto mounts and manual mounts are the same. They just go in different holes in the cross member.

I just got some of the Ultra motor mounts and I'm going to just do the Window Weld mod to my existing mount, except spend the extra $15 and get the actual Energy Suspension stuff.

Window Weld works great. Takes the up and down bob out of the shifter. I did it to a new mount though. The original was compressed quite a bit compared to the new mount. About 20K miles on it.

I can text, I don't care about any vibrations, if anyone has Solid motor mounts in the works along with tranny mounts, PM me at any time. I would like to be a part of some testing haha

Poly trans/motor mounts were put in about a month ago. At first I tightened the bolt thru the trans mount too much and NVH was real bad.... but I loosened it up and now it feels real good. Much more connected, however, no I have some horrible slop, i think in the driveshaft couplers that clunks around quite a bit.
