Scavenger Hunt...

For my fellow Houstonians: Thought about trying somethin through the forums. A sort of "scavenger hunt."

Not sure if this has been tried on here, but I thought it'd be interesting.

Example: One day, I was driving back home from work. And I saw a Mustang GTR. Yes, a GTR. But, I figured...some guy just slapped on a GTR sticker to wow someone. Nothin' too drastic, since ricers do it all the time.

A few days later...I saw a Mustango GT. Not a Mustang, a MustangO. Had it in the bumper and everything. So I told everyone about it, and no one believed me. A few months later, I get this in an email.

I wanted to see how many people would be down for this lil' "game." It's similar to our Houston sightings, but you actually gotta work for these sightings. Haha.

Find something odd/rare/funny on the road? Describe it on here, give a location where it was seen, and see who can go out and snap a pic of it. C'mon, people. What ya think?

Side note: The guy who found the Mustango took the pic at Willowbrook Mall. I actually know the guy who drives the Mustango. Used to live around my area, and we went to High School together.

I'm actually in the hunt for a pic of this HORRID F-body Camaro that's painted purple, has obnoxiously large rims, a not-finished-painting body kit, and spoiler (wing) bigger than a WRX's. It's around my area here in Spring Branch.

LOL. Sounds similar to a really old chevy wagon near I-10 and Eldridge. Color was the old-school orange, but the plates said ORANGE1. As if no one noticed the orange...

There used to be a Mustang at the apartments in front of my parents' neighborhood where the bumper said (and this was relieved into the plastic) "TROUBLE". The custom plates said "EX WIFE".

I may be one of the very few people in the world that doesn't own a digital camera. And it was too dark for my cell phone camera. I'm gonna invest in some sort of digital camera pretty soon. Being from Spring Branch, seeing goofy cars is all too common "round these here parts."

OK...so lovely story today. I get off of work at 3:30, and head home, as usual. I get on 610 North from Bellaire, and just passing Westheimer... I see a red Camry/Accord/Mazda6 (I can't even remember because the plates threw me off so much.)

On the back, I read "I CYU H8". I get out the cell phone to try and take a pic, but traffic is actually steady flowing today. When I FINALLY get close enough to take a snap...I get cut off by a Caddy with obnoxiously large rims with plates that read "HTWN OG"

Bought a Pontiac seat cover, and HeatShield from Afterthoughts Auto on ls1gto. Also bought a silver gauge cluster to swap the faces, but I don't feel comfortable doing it myself.

My friend was dropping me off back in my area, and I saw a mid 00's Red Cobra, probably '03 to '05. The "COBRA" on the rear bumper looked like the letters had been widened, so you could barely make it out unless paying attention. The spoiler literally looked like this ---> TT. Flat on top, and two legs going straight down.

It would be an early 2000's Cobra. Starting after 2004 there were no Mustang Cobras. They were Shelby Cobra GT500. You would easly be able to tell the difference between a 03-04 Cobra and a 05 GT500. So you probably saw a 2000-2004 Cobra. :gr_jest: I'm just busting your balls. :cheers:

I saw a newer age Mustang off of 290 on Wednesday afternoon. It was Red...wait...no, Black....wait, no...it IS Red....wtf.

Not sure of original color, but it had a stripe almost as wide as the hood. From front to back. So it was Black on the sides, and one BIG Red stripe down the middle.

have one thats a mustange and on the back bumper it says mexican instead of mustang.....also have another pic from walmart of a dodge with 20 exhaust tips coming out the back.....I have them on my cell phone but not sure how to post them
