I have a few questions regarding that site and this site.

Is the "Mods can read PMs" over there true or not? I sent a message to Storm asking him about this site with no reply. Now, this could have been simply because Storm didn't know, doesn't like me, didn't care, etc., but I never heard back. I did however hear back from another member and I promptly deleted that reply.

Also, I love that site and don't plan on leaving. BUT. I am so sick of the changes AF has begun to implement. So sick of it, I'm willing to join a new place (here) where I can still chat with the same people that where/are over there. I've heard and witnessed some other sites not make it. What can us members do to help keep this site strong without causing cross-forum wars and without pissing people off? I guess, just keep posting.

OH, OH IDEA! Lets call up DT and have him join? Bad publicity is... Wait, I don't think that saying applies to anything DT.

That is all. Discuss?

We don't want to start a cross forum fight. I cannot speak for what they are doing on the other site, but the things they have installed on their forum will allow them to read PM's if it is done is another matter that I have no knowledge of. Nothing like that is installed on this site.

The best thing members can do to make this site strong is help each other with your questions and interact with one another. While here we should be concerned with what our forum is doing and leave the "Other Site" to do whatever they want.

Most people call it the "Other Site" because they are upset enough not to want to call it by name. We are a new community and have a bright future ahead of us without having to look back on some of the darkness we went through to get here.

I'll leave this open but please just discuss things to do with this forum and not the "Other Site"

I'm on the same boat as you, I have nothing against LS2GTO.com and don't plan on leaving. I joined here to help this forum grow and to talk with fellow GTO enthusiasts without all the stupid rules.

^ I agree. I can't miss out on the lawlz over at ls1gto.com. The rules are pretty sh*tty but there is years of information over there that have helped me numerous of times.

Mods? no.

Short answer is whoever holds the role as SuperAdmin (the owner 99.9% of the time, I'd guess). So basically, you don't have to worry about PJ reading your stuff. Don? Maybe. I have no idea.

What's with the threats from the mods then?

I have to admit, the BS threads have finally made an impact on me. Tech content might just be the only reason I return.

This car has introduced me to a lot of people that I now consider dear friends. Sometime ago it became larger than just the car. Like some I'll always be a member there. I don't take any of the drama there seriously including the AF stuff but It does sadden me watching that site change. I hope this site can be like the dysfuntional family LS1GTO used to be;)

This is the exact way I feel. I love going on there daily and seeing the different personalities, threads and all around community interact. It's great entertainment and although I'm not some big time member, I've still been there a long time (4+ years) and feel like I "know" some of the people there. It does suck that things are starting to change. The site went from a great feeling place with an awesome community to an AF type feel with an awesome community. Too bad. AF absolutely ruined the feel of that place.

Yes AF ruined the site but there is no reason to bitch. This is a great alternative as long as we keep it going

"The other site," It has become like Harry Potter and he who shall not be named, so we can no longer call it LS2GTO.com we must refer to it as "the other site that shall not be named," at least that what I call it. I'm still gonna remain a member over there also, but unless the topic is very moving I wont be posting over there, but I still want access to all the data that is compiled on that site.
