I did not use the resistors, and I am assuming I did not need to only because I had already installed an electronic flasher for the front turn signal bulbs that are the "switchback" style led bulbs.

I elected to remove the hard plastic cover just inside the truck that goes from left to right and covers the latch bracket. I only did this for ease of installations and you may not choose to.

1. To remove plastic cover, using small flat blade screw driver, remove the four cap plugs accessing the phillips screws. Remove the phillips screws and the two phillips screws / push pins in the upper corners. Remove cover.

2. pull back edge of carpet to access harness and release the blue connector from the bracket and disconnect the pigtail from the main harness.

YOU MUST REMOVE TAILLIGHT IN THIS MANNER OR YOU RISK BREAKING THE HOLDING PINS.

Remove the two phillips screws from the taillight housing.

Press the taillight housing outward towards the side fender of the car, DO NOT PULL TOWARDS THE REAR OF THE CAR. Two ball style pins will pop out / release from the bracket that remains on the car. Not much pressure is needed.

Feed harness through hole in car and take it to the work bench.

I suggest that you place a towel etc. down first to prevent scratching the taillight facing.

simply twist the bulb socket from the taillight releasing it from the housing.

Remove bulb from socket by simple twist. Install new LED bulb in reverse order.

Repeat process for two remaining bulbs.

Return to car, look at the side of the car, you will see that the black plastic clip for the lower ball clip stayed on the car bracket. Remove it from the car, and snap it back on the the lower ball connector of the taillight housing.

Feed pigtail through hole in car.

Reinstall taillight housing on car, snapping both ball clips. Then installing two holding screws.

Reconnect blue pigtail harness to main harness on car. Reconnect harness clip to bracket.

Repeat process on other taillight.

Reinstall plastic cover, screws and push pins and screw cap covers.

Enjoy.
