Anybody have the L92+ FAST 102 set up yet? I'm debating whether i should go this route or just have my 243's ported and polished along with an upgraded valve train and a ported FAST 92. What route do you guys think i should go? I just want a fast ass weekend warrior.

I'd be interested in this as well. I currently have the L76 intake.

I didn't think the FAST intake was out for those heads yet. And isn't it a 102?

I know the L92's make good power on the stock ;76/ls3 intake, so I could only imagine it would be better with this intake

That's for the LS7.
If I'm not mistaken, it won't fit the L92/LS3s.

Ah that's what i was wondering, i was assuming it would fit since they both have rectangular ports. I thought i read somewhere you could fit them on ls3/l92 heads though i'm probably wrong.

I THINK there are two different ones. 1 for the ls7 and 1 for the ls3. Ls3 should already be out and the ls7 is the one that's not out yet. You could always just call them and ask.

LS7 is out, and LS3 isn't.

You could always just pull the entire motor, sleeze it to 4.125, get LS7 heads and the LS7 fast intake. Save you time from having to wait on the LS3 fast intake.

I could not be happier with my L92/LS3 setup... but I do think the FAST 102 is overkill... even on the bigger cubed LS3's its not gaining much over a ported LS3 intake.
I am going to get my LS3 intake ported this fall and see what difference it makes.
If you have any questions on the setup let me know.

My buddy Mike who tunes all the cars for G Force of Pearland told me yesterday that you really dont gain anything with the new fast on the LS3/L92 heads. The best thing he said to do was have your LS3 intake manifold ported out and it will perform just as well. I am about to buy my buddies LS3 intake manifold and port it out for myself, im getting ready to do the l92 swap as well and hand my 243s to my 04 buddy.

Because of price and all I did the head porting thru Ed Curtis. Now I have to get a Fast 92 ( hard to find ) or a 102. My peak power is choked by the stock intake. LOw to mid range is awesome. I went up on valve size to 2.055 and 1.57 while I was at it. Since I had more miles I replaced the stock lifters with new Lunati and rockers with stock OEMS. Runs like a BOH but it could be more with the fast and 46# injectors.

Are you still running 243s? If so then a fast will give you more power then a ported LS2. But when it comes to the Ls3/L92 setups, the ported LS3s flow just as well as a fast 102. Very few people are purchasing the fast 102 for the LS3 setups because of this..

I ended up buying a ported fast92 awhile back and saw a big increase in acceleration. I just bought an ms3 cam from tsp now i just need to save more money to get myself a tc and a set of lifters and pushrods. Still debating whether i should buy a pair of prc stg 1.0 ls6 heads or just get some work done to my stock heads.

LS6 heads are same heads you havd but with lighter valves. Just send your heads off to TEA they have done some amazing port work for other gtos.

Or you could sell your heads and ported fast and use that money towards a LS3 top end swap. You will see more gains that route. As far as the ls3 intake manifold all it needs is a simple port job and you wont need a fast intake because gains would be minimal. Hope i helped out a bit :)

Good advice GTslow... I ported one out for a friends 402 Goat thats on here. He went from a stage 2 ported set of Livernois 243 heads and a stage 2 LS2 ported intake (also by me) to a set of PRC ported LS3 heads and a stage 2 LS3 intake. Picked up some good power, especially under the curve... Also its didnt cost him an arm and a leg. The LS3 setups are really a great bang for buck way to go.
