My garages are attached to the foundation of my house, but sealed off and not climate controlled like the remainder of my house.

Each has a small window in it, and I am unsure whether it is best to leave that window open all summer long, or closed.

Obviously open allows for them to cool off a little, and closed keeps the dampness and such out....

Or... the window lets you put in an A/C unit. :D

The window opening is about the size of a brick lol It is just the center of my block windows

That window opening might be worth widening a bit. My shop behind my house is an insulated metal building. I'm used to a garage (just bought this place a few months ago), and I had no idea how f'n HOT it would get in there. I went out there a few weeks ago to organize it a bit and it was over 120 inside it. **** that...Went back in the house and went nuts on Craigslist. Bought a big ass window unit air conditioner for the shop. Now it stays in the mid 70's out there. It's freakin' AWESOME. Should make my TVS install a lot easier :D

I would look at climate controlling it. That way you keep the damp and the heat out.
