Well, Goatfest is over and we just got into the hotel room after hanging out at Auslanders with some of the Goatfest guys. This was me and my wife's first Goatfest, and we enjoyed it! It was great to FINALLY put faces to the names on this forum and I look forward to the next meet. I want to thank everyone for welcoming us in, special thanks to Lancer-AM who put in the aux input mod and had dinner with us. It was good to meet you, your wife and your son and I look forward to hanging out with you in the future. Also thanks to the Pedders guy for talking with me at length about suspension and showing me the XA coilover, you name slips my mind right now, but it will come to me, I hope. Anyway thanks again everybody, let's do it again soon.

So there was my experience tell us how yours went.

P.S. Don't forget about May Goat of the Month, theme is 2010 Goatfest.

I may be going back via 290 tomorrow and I'm going to be f'ing pissed if I have to stop at any of those stupid lights in Giddings.

Well then go back via Hwy 71, it runs into I-10, no lights after Bastrop.

It was great meeting everyone. Next year I think I need to get there earlier with a stock pile of parts to do Aux mods :-P Ram09 it was great metting yall too, we had a really good time. So our funny story comes from drinking time at Auslanders. We finished eating dinner then went back in with everyone to drink. I had already had a few at this point so I was feeling good. We went to the big open area in the back and after a few minutes and afew awhile we sit down with Ram09 and his wife at a table with another couple. After awhile of us talking to them I ask the guy, So what kind of Goat do you have? Without skipping a beat he says,"I don't have one, but I used too." then he talks about a real goat. I asked them, "Are yall here for Goatfest?" they looked really puzzeled by now and answer no they are just visiting Fredricksburg. I hurriedly explain that by Goat I mean GTo and tell them what Goatfest is. They were great sports about the whole thing and it is just kind of funny they didn't mind us invading their table on their vacation :-P Good times, the whole weekend was a blast and we can't wait for next year.

Goatfest has gotten me enthused about my car again. With the problems I had (that ultimately ended up being a cracked intake manifold), I had really lost interest in working on my car. After getting the car fixed this week and seeing everyone and their cars at Goatfest, I am very excited about getting back into the GTO game! Thanks, everyone for inspiring me once again!!

It was great seeing so many GTOs all in one place like that, I had a blast.

I just got my GTO back in February, so this was my first Goatfest....I'll definitely be back for GF VII next year. :D

Many thanks to those who organized the event!

Had such a great time. I think I walked by all the cars at least 4 times. Just to check every one of 'em out. :)

Great meeting everyone out there. Learned a few real names, so it was nice to play the name game. We left Auslander close to midnight, and headed to Silver Creek across the street. I'm not a beer guy, so I had to get my share of liquor. I caught up to everyone really quick.

The walk back to the hotel room wasn't bad, but a cop rode right by me. Tried to get my best sober-face on, but that wasn't happening. lol.

I had a blast, though. Can't wait for next year. GF7 countdown begins, now...

I have to agree with Robo, Goatfest has gotten me excited about the Goat again, hell even my die hard Dodge wife told me she now wants a GTO either a yellow or Brazen Orange. I am ready to go to work on the GTO again especially after seeing and holding that XA coilover that Dan brought from the warehouse, I don't care if I would ever need that level of tunability but that's what I'm gonna get. The Banner went to one of the guys from the East Texas group, I know my wife was happy I didn't get it because I was gonna hang it above our bed.

It was a much needed vacation and I enjoy every second of it. I enjoyed hanging out at Auslander and listening to the two man band at the bar across the street late into the morning. The whole scenery while driving was amazing and It was very nice to see some new places in Texas. Ile be there next year if at all possible!

Want to thank all the sponsors and everyone else involved in making GF6 a reality. I am still shocked I won a Dyno tune and feel very lucky, thanks!!! I was just working on selling my DS tuner and picking up a real tune!

Oh, and be careful when passing through Llano county...We had Rosco P Coltrane stopped us cause apparently people didn't like it when we passed them because they were doing 50 mph in a 70 mph zone...:dunno: He threaten to take us out in the field and whoop our asses if we wanted to drive like bad asses. :bat:But in the end he was pretty kewl. Just wanted to get his point across. Even though we never really did anything wrong, we let him have his moment in the spot light... He was probably bored.

one of my favorite things about Goatfest is that is a great kick-start to the spring/summer car season and meeting new people just in time to see them over and over again through the summer!

I also want to thank everyone that puts this on and all the sponsers that helped out.

Great drive from houston to SA to Fredericksburg, after we left saturday had a couple of Goats following as we hit some buck ole 50thies lol

This was my first Goatfest, and it was a blast. my wife went with me and even SHE was excited about all the gto's. it's good to see that there are so many others out there that share the same interests and now that i've experienced it for the first time, i love my gto even more! i am now more excited than ever to mod my car even more. after goatfest, it was cool seeing all of the gto's roaming around frederickburg. seems like all gto drivers have a great attitude about the event. seeing a gto pass by you and having the other driver give you a "wave" or "thumbs up" or "peace", really made me feel like i was part of something.
I will be back next year, and hopefully i'll get to know everybody a little bit better.
Thanks for a great weekend!

Man, this was my first Goatfest as well and along with others my wife really had a good time. I think I had one of the few stock cars there but was excited to see so many different looks. I got a lot of ideas and took a lot of pic's and hope to make many more Goatfest in the future. Thanks to all that put this together and all the sponsors. Also thanks to Lancer for helping me get a GTO.
