I ran a 13.901 at HRP on 3/12/10. That was my very last pass that night.

Well, I decided to head back before I had to return the helmet I borrowed.

Started off as a breezy night out there, then the temp started to drop. The night kinda sucked, since they were letting the money-makers run their cars more than the street guys. It was PACKED, as well. I swear, the ballin' people had their lanes waved through twice while we waited almost 2.5 hours.

I only got 3 passes in.

Descriptions are from worst to best.

Pass #3 - Getting close to 11:30. I kept my car cool, and rolled through the lanes. Started her up in the pit, got everything ready (Trac Control, 3rd gear), but an RX-7 broke in the left lane. I figured it was gonna be awhile, so I shut down. He rolled his car out of the way really quick, so I fired her back up. Drove around the water, backed up, but FORGOT to take off the T/C. Lame spin, and staged. Bad spin, and a lil bit of wheel-hop. I also did the pass in [D], rather than [3]. I was already frustrated with the waiting, and when the RX-7 busted, I thought that was the end of the night. Should've stayed focused.

13.891 @ 102.67

I was pissed because that was the final run of the night. Not a good way to go home.

Pass #1 - Probably around 8:00. Car was still trying to cool down from driving around the lot, but I started it up way before the pit, so it warmed up rather quick. Burnout was just a small one, with no smoke, but everything else was ready. Staged, got the RPMs to about 1000, and got a decent launch. Still some spin, but not as bad as the 3rd pass.

13.850 @ 101.85

I knew that with temperature cooling down, my next pass would be decent. I knew I had to get a better burnout, as well. I was already excited since it was a new personal best.

Pass #2 - A little after 10:00, if not more towards 10:30. After the long wait, I knew my car would be plenty cool. My friend was there to help me, so we were pushing the car through the lanes up until the pit. We fired it up, and the lanes were steady flowing at that time. I drove around the water, backed up, and gave a good burnout. Few seconds, with a little smoke. Staged, got my RPMs to around 1200, and the launch felt good.

This is my PB with the car being stock. So, I felt good with this time. Ready to start the mods! Already installed my LPE Intake this past weekend, so I know I'm gonna want more power soon. I wanna thank Jim (Old Goat), and Nivlac (forgot your name, buddy) for the racing tips. Returning Chris's (speed95) helmet this week, so I won't be racing until I can get my own. Hopefully I'll be a lot faster, by then.
