I think Youngguns is having the same issue. 3M makes a spray adhesive you can try. Should be able to pick it up at Lowes. Remove the door panel and lift the suede, spray it under it and then press the material down. Use books or something to hold it down in the areas you sprayed and leave it for 24 hours.

I would say do what Lancer said.

I haven't pulled the GTO panels before but usually you will have 1-2 screws near the interior handles and clips around the outside. There is a interior panel removal tool that you can get at your auto parts store I would recommend using. It is to help seperate the clips without breaking them. If you take your time you should be able to locate everything securing the panel to the door.

I have the Holden repair manual on CD at home, I will take a look if I can find the page for you... It isnt for your year model but the doors on the commodores havent changed since what the manual covers...

3M spray adhesive FTW. That stuff is crazy strong.

The 3M is the best stuff to use. We sell it here at NAPA (or I'm sure other places sell it too) but the part number is 08090.

3M works the best.
Spray it on, and press and lift the thing you want to stick a couple of times to get the glue really tacky before pressing it down to dry.

Hey MuhThugga, you think you NEED to take the door panel off to do this, or do you think that 3M adhesive spray is fast-drying and sticky enough that you don't have to take the panel down?

It might stick for awhile but to give it pressure and time to set taking the panel off is best.

I haven't had this problem yet. Is there a certain spot it seems to be starting at first?

Top of the suede right where the panel curves toward the dash is what mine is doing.

Mines almost falling off on the passenger side, and it's just starting to curl off on the driver side where ram09 described it.

:(, this is unexpected. I gotta go look closer. Do either of you leave your GTO parked outside? Could this be from heat you think?

Mine has been parked outside at work all day long since the day it was purchased.
My passenger side window was messed up, and wouldn't roll all the way up, so I had to take it to the dealership. I think maybe when they were repairing it, they didn't take very good care of the door panel.

I have the GM service manual. I'll try to scan the page about door panel removal.

Thanks! I don't want this happening to me if I ever have to take the panels off for some reason.
By the way, I looked and on both sides mine seem just as solid as the rest of the door. Maybe it is a heat cycling issue for the goats that see it day in and day out as a DD.

I think it is cause by the heat mine stays outside uncovered...unless there is a big storm comming then i move my dad's focus out from under the carport and put mine under there:D

My brother spotted mine doing the same thing the other day. I had no idea, it was on the pass side. I might just pull it off to see how it will look without it. Underneath it is the same as the rest of the door right? Also he works at Fastenal and said #M is the best.

Mine just started peeling on the passenger side. Looks ugly and it's pissing me off. My car sat out for a few weeks in the heat and that's when it started. Normally it's garaged all the time.
Guess I'll try the 3M.
