I installed a DDM HID kit a couple of days ago. I purchased the 35w kit with the 5000K bulbs for the lows.
Many of the posts I'd read made it sound like a 30 minute plug and play job. Well, not really. I loaded some pics into my profile album.

I ended up needing to remove the battery, air cleaner assembly, light housings, and front bumper cover. The ballast was the larger one of the two kits DDM sells. It didn't tuck away very well anywhere behind the lights, so I removed the bumper and found a nice place on the top of the front subframe rail.

For the lights, you'll need to drill a one inch hole in the cover.

The front bumper cover is relatively easy to remove. Remove the visible screws on top, then on each lower corner by the wheels. Clips attach it under the fenders. Just takes some pulling to get it off the clips. Goes back together much easier.

Also, remove the DRL relay from the fuse box.

So what is your impressions of the final product? I have considered doing it. My high beams are great and the best I have seen but my factory low beams suck terribly.

Same here, my lows were terrible, highs great.
Haven't driven much at night with them yet. Definitely better than stock, but not so bright that its potentially annoying to other drivers. The projectors seem to have a good cutoff line with these.
All in all, seems like a good kit, especially for the price. The kit was only about $40 and comes with a lifetime warranty now on the ballasts.

Im buying some DDM Slims soon, 8000k 55w lows with 6000k 35w fogs. Ive seen it personally on another GTO and it doesnt look extremely blue or purple like some say. Its extremely bright IMO and only slightly blue.

I read on LS1GTO that the fogs have reverse polarity, so essentially you need to switch the leads. Some threads talked about cutting/splicing, while others said no need to cut/splice, just plug it in differently ... sorry don't have a link to a thread.

Correct on reversing the plug. At the stock plug for the fog lights, just reverse the plug in the ballast. All should be well then.
