View Full Version : Intimidated an SRT8 Charger at the track

This happened back in december. There I was in the staging lanes. My uncle and my friend also were at the track. Upon me staging (after my big burnout) they said that there were about 6 or 7 people betting on who would win me or the Charger. The stage lights come on and it gets to the last amber light and I launch. Well Nitto DR's suck balls so I spun like crazy. I ended up running a 9.0 with a 2.35 60ft in the 1/8th. The charger didnt launch when I did and ran against a honda after my run. Here is a pic.

No, it's just his lack of driver mod; oh and lack of 6.0 liters. :p

I did actually lol. Nitto DRs SUCK!!!!! You have to do a HUGE burnout in order to get them to hook. I started spinning, so I let off and got on it again and started spinning again.

Actually, with my 200lb friend in the car (Josh) I did run an LS2 and I not only got a better ET, but I trapped higher also..

And any time you want to prove this.. You have my number. :D

If you really want to be embarassed we can call Steve down here too, and you can get walked by 2 LS1's. :D:D

I think those Chargers weigh as much as the trucks do, but what a wimp that he backed down.

Ya, he probably would of beaten me due to my horrible launch, but I was still wanting to see how we stacked up.

Did you go into the water box? If so that is your problem. Don't go in the water if you have street tires or DR.

I know you dont go into the box for street tires, but for DRs? I thought you have to get them wet then do the burnout?

Nope, if you dont have enough power to do a burn out on DR's without going into the water box then you dont need them, LOL. DR's requifre very little warming up. The water will pool under your tire at line if you go in the water box.

Huh, you learn something new everyday. So just a little burnout with no water and lower PSI and your good to go?
