Ha. Didn't want to give the Author of that quote, but I figured I wasn't the only one that read it. I thought that was kinda childish, but oh well. I check this site more often than ls1, but only because you pplz are much more friendlier. :D

You are right. I've gotten tired of the B.S. on that site. Seems like people on there just wait around to be spelling police, and give caustic remarks to some who post there. I've never seen anyone on this site be mean spirited to anyone else here. Everyone seems to really want to be helpful here. Even though I became a paid premium member, I hardly ever visit the "other site" any more. Just my 2 pennies worth. BTW anyone want to buy some ls2GTO.com stickers?? :gr_jest: Never put them on my Goat.

Shouldn't a MOD treat everyone with respect, as well? Kinda hard to enjoy the site, when a Mod is jumping your case for stating your opinion. Yes, ppl do gripe way too often about rules THEY signed up for. But, why blast 'em on a keyboard within a thread? PM em, tell em to cool out, follow the rules, etc. If they continue to get out of hand, then hit em with a ban or something. Schuff was even cool about a thread on here that was a little too "political." His fair warning was very professional, and friendly, as well.

My post count is a lot higher on this site, because I enjoy reading ppl's stories, and/or just "shooting the you-know-what" with everyone. I have asked more questions on here, though, SERIOUS QUESTIONS, because of fear of getting reamed on ls1. (My 04 to 05/06 exhaust search took about 30 minutes...only to find posts like "it'll work" or "not too difficult.")

I'm glad this site is around. Friendly ppl, even friendlier advice. LS1 is a damn good GTO dictionary, but that's about it. This site is more of a GTO funhouse, with a big library in the back. :D

You can't beat the content and thread turnover of the other site based on population alone. But I'm trying to come here every day and post.

I still like Doric's posts but it's just not the same over there. I would be a little bitter had I had something that I cared about taken from me too. He honestly had more invested in that site than any of us, and I can understand where he's coming from if he's a little pissed, and/or sad, and/or bitter.

Droic was a mod for a pretty good amount of time though. He was one of the ones that got really mad about the whole "pay for your membership" and when discount tire took over the entire wheels/tire section. Ever since then he doesn't give two sh*ts about anything over there, and is voicing what he's been holding in for awhile.

I also have grown tired of that site, it seems that everyone over there just waits to jump on somebody else. I do believe this site was created to go back to what the old LS1GTO.com site was several years ago before the corporate world invaded it. Yes there isn't near as much traffic on this site yet, but it does have that feeling of community that the other site now lacks. There also is'nt near the amount of bickering or complaining on this site as there is over there.
