my buddy and i finally got a chance to run our cars. he has a 2003 Z06 with LTs and catless mids.
i had his brother in my passenger seat on the way home from the kart racing saturday morning and we lined em up a couple of times as we passed through mexico.
first was from a dig, i had no doubt what the outcome of this race would be and the Z didnt disappoint. the 315 DRs he had on the back hooked immediately and my poor 255 street tires could only dream of traction. he left without too much of a fight, but the distance didnt increase by much once babygoat got her momentum
the roll race from 50 mph was a lot closer, though. he honked, we floored and babygoat actually jumped out in front! ran it all the way up through 3rd like that, my buddy was laughing hysterically at the fact that the GTO was hanging out in FRONT of the Z06. eventually, when we shifted to 4th, he caught back up and i had to brake for upcoming donkeys... the weight advantage helped him squeak out the win on that one.
honorable deaths, not embarrassed at all to admit those. the Z is one hell of a strong car and he drives it very well.
we got some video from my other friends car, but turns out the camera wouldnt focus on anything past his HIDEOUS windshield, so its all just audio.
